Connecting the clew to the outhaul

Hi Group – How do you connect the clew of the sail to your outhaul? I have 1 small shackles then another larger one that I connect to the sail. I am used to have a line run through the end of the mast to a jamb cleat around mid-room. The Isotope has a fancy outhaul system but how I am connecting to it seems to leave too much room between the boom and the sail. Would anyone be able to share pictures of their setup?

Many thanks!

You can see the standard Isotope boom end rigging at https://intl-fiberglass.com/images/rigging/IsotopeBoomEndSideView.jpg and https://intl-fiberglass.com/images/rigging/IsotopeBoomEndTopView.jpg .

The twist shackle on the boom end car attaches to the mainsail clew grommet. The boom car has a bungee cord that pulls it forward and an outhaul line that pulls it back. The outhaul line runs forward along the boom to a clam cleat. Pull the outhaul line snug (and cleat it) for upwind sailing; uncleat it for downwind.

    I hope that helps,
